ローステッド・メイプル・ネック仕様で、指板のスチール・ステンレス製フレットのハイ・ポジションまで無理なくアクセスできるスカルプテッド・ネック・ジョイント。
アイコニックなスティングレイのサウンドを維持させながら、あらゆる演奏ポジションでも快適に演奏ができるようにボディ・コンツアーに丸みを帯びさせました。
新設計のスティングレイ・ピックアップはさらに高い出力と広いレンジを持ったネオジム・マグネットを採用しました。
さらにヘッドルームを持たせた新設計の18ボルト駆動の3バンドEQ・プリアンプはモダンでパンチのあるサウンドからビンテージなトーンまで出すことができます。
たった8.5ポンド（3.85キロ）という平均重量で、スティングレイはこれまでよりも軽量ですが、独自のパンチあるトーンは健在です。
再設計され軽量になったチューニング・マシーンは信頼が高く、ピッチの安定性をもたらしつつ、ヘッド落を防ぎ、バランスの良いネックを実現。
